This blog originated in 2020. With the advent of Covid-19, I found myself locked in my house with my three-year-old wired hair Dachshund, Twoee. She taught me a lot during that first month and stayed by my side while we jumped from one thing to another…experimenting as we went along.

The site is arranged into four categories, each indicated by a picture of Twoee on the left. After all she did inspire me.

Penne’s Pantry

Cooking came late in life to me. After spending my career in boardrooms across the United States I found that I truly loved being at home in the kitchen. Here you will find recipes, videos of food preparations, and tips on cooking in general.

Trips and Tips

I love to travel, so stories came naturally to me. Read about various encounters I had along the way through some exciting cities in Europe.

Twoee Tails

Here you will find stories about Twoee. Read about her run for presidency in 2016, her adventures with her pals, and how she got involved with Covid-19.

Writers’ Workshop

Keep up to date with the novel that I am writing…if I ever get it finished; and various other short stories.

What's in Twoee's Freezer - 1-4-2021

Well gang, we made it to 2021 and I have to say there are things about 2020 that weren’t so bad.  I learned to garden, not well…I learned to make Ice Cream…VERY well and I learned to appreciate my family and friends more.

If it hadn’t been for the pandemic, I never would have met some of you.  Together through the donations from ice cream and Christmas cards we were able to raise $3,363.00 for the Vida Joven orphanage.  Thank you. Your generosity is overwhelming.

Now the two big question are…do we go forward with more ice cream and higher cholesterol numbers?  This is the time of the year to get healthy, yet a part of me wants to hang onto my vises.  Do we pick a new charity to support or keep on supplying dog food to the shelters?

I’d like your feedback please.

So, for now, I’m going to post what’s in Twoee’s Freezer and if you still want ice cream, I’ll keep my apron on, and my bandana over my head.  Who knows where this adventure will lead us, but I’m pretty sure wherever it is we’ll all be together and having fun.

WHAT’S IN TWOEE’S FREEZER?

Lucy’s Limoncello- A true lemon lover’s ecstasy.  Laced with Limoncello in a creamy lemon base. It will pucker your lips.

Maude’s Mocha Espresso Chip-A coffee lovers’ delight. Espresso beans and fine ground espresso mixed with rich chocolate make this coffee ice cream stand out.

Bula’s Banana Bark-The rich taste of banana and chocolate explodes in your mouth as chocolate truffles swirls through the banana cream.

Verdell’s Vanilla (As Good as it Gets!) Tahitian Vanilla beans blended with vanilla paste give this rich vanilla taste to an extra creamy ice cream.

Clara’s Chocolate Peanut Butter-if you like peanut butter cups, you’ll love this ice cream.  Three different chocolates blended together with peanut butter.  Add to that bits of peanut butter cups that melt in your mouth.

Cooper’s Caramel by the sea- If there was an ice cream to surpass Berthillon’s of Paris, this is the one.  It’s velvety caramel flavor bursts with the excitement of sea salt and teases your senses.

Monty’s Marvelous Malt-reminiscent of the vanilla malt you had as a kid. The flavor of malt is subtle and mixes well into the richness of the cream and milk.

Stella Luna’s Strawberry – If you’re a strawberry lover who likes a smooth creamy flavor this one’s for you.
